Finntroll - Nifelvind

The new album from Finntroll is out!

Nifelvind!

I saw them performing it live already.
Totally fuckin' awesome!
It was so insane ... got ridiculously drunk, there was a big circle moshpit, flying bodies, lots of sweat ... this was a real dance! And the music was damn top notch awesome.

I'd say that this is better than Ur Jordens Djup ... much more energy and much more twist. It's seriously great to see Finntroll bringing out another awesome album. Brilliant!

Re: Finntroll - Nifelvind

It is great indeed ... I have now bought the limited edition ... it's the CD with a bonus song (in a jewel case), a poster flag (decent!) and a "beer coaster" so that you won't spill your drink when listening to it. All that in a boxset ... the really cool thing is that I did pay maybe 1 Euro more for the limited edition than for the regular CD!

And the music is great. It's like a mixture of Ur Jordens Djup and Jaktens Tid ... sorta. Put these two in a pot, shake vigorously and what comes out will be this one, seriously. There are pieces where you really can feel this twistedness that was so present back then ... the song "Under Bergets Rot" for example. But also the other songs. There's more folk than on the last album ... and it has a better atmosphere and a better vibe. It's really good smile
