FAQ (pronounced FAKK)
A brief introduction and explanation:
Quite a few of you have written to us asking just what being a member of the Street & E-Team actually involves. There seems to be a misconception that working on the team may be a lot of extremely hard work. Far from it! We're not asking people to stand on street corners for hours handing out flyers - much of what can be achieved by the teams can be done simply and easily. For instance, many of you who are online may find that you already do much of the E-Team element without even knowing it by talking about the band on other music forums! As for the Street Team element, it can be as simple as putting a flyer about the band up in your favourite music store. You never know who, or how many, may see it.
What is a street & E-team?
A street & e-team is a group of fans that volunteer to help promote Mortiis in their area. This includes, but is not limited to: passing out flyers, putting posters in local music stores (or anywhere that will let you), handing out promotional material such as stickers and postcards, and basically anything else you can do to spread the word about Mortiis. You should put the promotional items we send you where you think people will see them best, that means schools, clubs, live events, shopping centres, records stores, work, festivals wherever you can find potential fans. Request Mortiis songs on local radio stations, clubs & events, and write in to magazines and newspapers to tell them where the best music is. Basically, telling people about the band is the best way to get the message across. Sell the music you love! The e-team element involves spreading the word about Mortiis online using such things as your profiles, blogs, message boards, chat forums, e-mails, podcasts, playlists, etc.
What will I be promoting?
We will be running several different projects such as promoting the tour dates, and release dates for CD’s / DVD’s etc. Further information on each promotion will be sent to you at the relevant time.
Is it worldwide?
You betcha!! Street & e-Teams are world-wide! We welcome as many people from as many countries as possible. The more the merrier! Please note certain countries may be excluded from certain promotions.

This is exclusive for registered street teamers who have submitted reports. So REPORT your crimes, people !!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
We reserve the right to remove and/or ban any member who is unruly or disruptive from team lists, the online forum, THG Myspace and any other activities. Such action will not be taken unless it is felt that said membership is detrimental to the team or Mortiis themselves. Your actions as a member of the Street & E-Team are a direct reflection of the band. It is our responsibility to keep activities running in a positive and professional manner. We will not revoke membership because you do not do things such as hand out flyers, but for actions that cause any of us problems.
Please remember, some stores or venues may have rules against handing out materials on their property. There may also be some areas that fans live in where it is against the law to affix stickers/posters to public property such as telephone poles or venue/club property. You should always check first to make sure you are allowed to put anything in these areas.
For those of you who are carrying out E-Team responsibilities. Please remember, that there is a difference between promotion and relentless ‘spamming’! If you’re unsure of the difference, please contact us to check first.
